Today I found myself out with others and in a Costa Coffee at lunchtime. My heart was sinking as I was approaching the place with its 600Cal sandwiches and other food consisting mostly of carbohydrate.
I gave their “all day protein meal pot” a go. I was thinking that if it tasted horrible I could leave it and just go hungry. To my suprise it was really quite good. It’s a little cardboard pot containing “baked beans, free range scrambled egg, roast mushrooms and cheddar”. It gets microwaved to the right temperature and is apparently only 198 Cals with 6.5g Fat, 18.2g carbs and 12.8g of protein.
Refreshing to see something in an environment like that which doesn’t break the diet.
