Hey @StokieDan - sorry to hear about your bad news mate. that sucks.
I read this yesterday and was going to respond to say that if your motivation is really bad for exercise and healthy food, then compromise and just deal with the food only for 7 days, or even 5, make sure it’s all logged on MFP and within healthy goals and on point, then you’re taking pressure off yourself to also train as well - trying to do both might cause you to jack everything in again.
Several days of that should give you enough positivity to get running again. Just make sure you don’t give in on the food no matter what.
Pretty much the same thing as what everyone else is saying about small goals.
I’m under the weather this week with dirty man flu, and this has come off the back of the WORST week this year so far for food and alcohol, so I feel your pain and I am also low on motivation. I have jacked the exercise this week, and am just concentrating on getting my food right, when I fully have my mojo back, I should feel like I actually want to exercise.
