The rain has finally let up this week and we were graced with beautiful weather this Wednesday night! Massive goals scored off pitch this week with five hat tricks and three 5%! Hat trick scorers are Kevin S (Rhinos), Dustin A (Man Titty), Michael C & Paul T (Marshmellow), and Leon S (Roosters). Joining the 5% club we have; Chris B & Clint B (Man Titty), and Ian McD (Submarines)! Excellent work gentlemen! Give this lads a pat on their back for the excellent progress they are making.
A helping hand … First of all, great work everyone! You have made it to week 8 of the season and you are all putting your best week-in week-out. Great job! I have noticed, however, that a few of you might be having a hard time keeping your weight-loss down in the last few weeks. I understand that it can be difficult due to personal circumstances such as work and other commitments, so don’t be afraid to reach out to your team mates or me if you need help in losing those Kgs! Remember that the whole point of joining the MANvFAT Soccer league is to lean on others when the going gets tough! Research suggests that people enrolled in a group weight-loss program is more likely to succeed than if they did it alone (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/want-to-lose-weight-group-programs-may-work-better-than-doing-it-alone/). So whether if you need someone to check-in with you every so often to make sure you keep your diet in check, or if you needed some advice on how to make small changes to your diet/routine, do tell your team. I am sure everyone is more than happy to help you. Conversely, those of you who know that a teammate might be struggling, do provide a helping hand and see what you might be able to do to assist him. We are all in this together, so let’s stick together!
10 000… One of the ways to help with your weight-loss is to increase your overall physical activity levels. A great suggestion that has been shared (and tested) by your fellow players is to try and hit at least 10 000 steps a day. For those of you who are a tad bit fancy, you might own a Fitbit or similar devices, but for those who aren’t quite ready to invest in another watch, these step counting apps are brilliant for keeping track of how much you are walking (Apple: https://www.maketecheasier.com/best-pedometer-step-counter-apps-iphone/ ; Android: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/the-best-android-apps-for-counting-steps/).
That’s all from me this week! Don’t forget we have the end of year event that is taking place on the 18th of December at UWA main campus! This will run in concurrent with our usual match night. If you or your team are interested, do drop us an email at email@example.com to register. Let’s make this a great event lads!
Have a great week ahead!
Coach B out!
