Well thought about this for a while, but just paid my reg fee to join the Boston, Lincolnshire group. 20 years ago, when I was round London, I played sports 3 or 4 times a week (tennis, squash, unihoc, volleyball, football), even did some running. Joined a little footy league in London for a while, although we were all rubbish at footy! Was always a little overweight but kept okay. Then a few injuries, stressful job, got lazy, the weight started increasing slowly. Moved back to Lincolnshire, now have the start of arthritis in my knees so use that as an excuse to keep being lazy as well.
I am about 4 stone heavier than 20 years ago, tried diets but need something more as I lose some weight but it never lasts, and as I love footy, then I hope this gives me the motivation to get active again, and start being sensible. Also, as me and partner are fairly new to Boston, hoping this gives me a chance to meet new people and make some friends.
