Hi I was wondering what people do with protein shakes and do they mix them with anything? Do people use them as a meal replacment and add fruit? I have heard a few people do it and was wondering does it work keeping you fuller for longer?
The exact opposite actually mate, liquid calories won’t fill you up as much as solid food, so if you’re losing weight & in an energy/caloric deficit you want to do everything you can to avoid hunger & try to get food that makes you feel full
Whey in a shake is a convenient way of getting your protein needs, if you’re on the go & without access to a meal or if you’re feeling full & can’t face the prospect of eating more food
That being said, some people have shakes because they like them, but fundamentally if you’re losing weight, solid food > liquid food is almost always the way to go
