Training of the Fighting Kind

#1

Anyone do any sort of martial arts, MMA, boxing of the similar? Do you do any sort of training for that type of thing?

Interested in some exercises that can be done at home (I have a punch dummy and some other bits) but are good for improving that kind of thing as well.

My recommendation is that you start with a local muay thai or kickboxing gym. This will help you with the proper warm ups, stretching and technique. You can hurt yourself on a heavy bag.

after that, depends what you want: training for actually fighting, or just a bit of cardio. I do a bit of both; 20 mins all out hands, feet, elbows and knees for a good fat burn, followed by 40 mins of 100 reps per major strike for muscle memory.
