Week 3 - UWA league - School Holiday time

Welcome to the school holiday week lads, a period for those of you with children to spend more time with them.

Another night of great games lastnight, ‘West Ham and Cheese’ came out strong vs the blue mountains scoring an early 2-0 but unfortunately 2 goals was where it remained. Incredibly close games between the other 4 teams on pitch, unfortunately, with a small turnout of ‘Weighty Whites’ yellow took the victory from off-pitch scores

A shoutout to Kev Robinson who misplaced 2.6kg for the Black Panthers last week and a welcome to James Wang who has come from the Canning league to help the ‘Weighty Whites’

  • Black Panthers - 14.10kg
  • Blue Mountains - 10.10kg
  • Better Red than Dead - 8.8kg

Overall League weight loss to date: 48.5kg - That is solid work gents!!

With this week being school holidays there is a few points I want to address here, perhaps you can find one or two that works for you to keep your weightloss journey on track:

  • If you are going away for the holidays you may lose ‘structured meal times’, this can lead to over eating on unhealthy snacks - especially if the children are persuading you to purchase said snacks!

  • Try packing meals ahead of time for road trips and day trips! This will prevent the purchase of high calorie, high fat foods and lollies on the road. Think about drinks aswell! You dont want to be stuck drinking sugar loaded softdrinks because you forgot to bring fluids.

  • When eating out obviously avoid deep fried foods - look for wraps, sushi, grilled burgers and low fat smoothies!
